  2. Hi Caz, keep up the comments, you are my most regular contributer and that keeps me in touch with Oz. That's really imortant to me. I am here in Paris for the next 4 days by myself, then I'm off to Scotland. I plan to go to the Louvre tomorrow; Musee D'Orsay on Tuesday and Versailles on Wednesday (strikes permitting).
I'm now on my own. My apartment is lovely: it is light and airy, clean and situated near a Metro station. It's all good except that I have no-one to share it with.
The tour went better than I thought it would. The tour director, Laurent, was excellent. He had humour, lots of knowledge and was well organised. The people on the tour were friendly and supported each other through colds, giving advice and making sure that everyone had a good time. I now have a number of people from the USA, Canada and other parts of Australia who would like me to visit.
All of the places that we visited were excellent. Each time we stopped we thought that we had now reached the best place, only to find the next stop to be interesting, but in a different way.
Bye for now. Lots of love,
    Ian
